The Information Technology Unit

This unit manages the Corporation’s information technology platform to advance the achievement of its strategic goals and objectives by effectively leveraging suitable technology solutions.

Some of its main responsibilities are:

1. Administration, maintenance and  technical support of the Corporation’s wide area networking infrastructure for optimal performance
2. Evaluation and procurement of information technology hardware, software and peripherals
3. Establishing and conducting appropriate training programmes for staff in the proper use of software programs and other equipment
4. Work with the Information Services unit to develop IT-driven platforms for information sharing and dissemination
5. Establishing and implementing an information security policy to protect the Corporation’s information technology infrastructure and resources
6. Provision of help-desk services to staff
